In an interview with this reporter, Ayaan expressed his deep passion for music, which he has nurtured since childhood. He attributed his success to the support of his family and the guidance of RJ Umar, who played a crucial role in shaping his career.
Ayaan mentioned that he had initially performed at a local event in Pahalgam, where his singing skills were recognized by RJ Umar, the CEO of ‘Mashq Talks-Podcast’. RJ Umar gave Ayaan the opportunity to debut his song ‘BeDard’ on his podcast, which paved the way for his musical journey.
Ayaan expressed his gratitude for the support he received from RJ Umar, acknowledging that although there are challenges in the music industry in Kashmir, he was fortunate to find the right mentor.

He believes that with around 180 music platforms available globally, including Spotify and others, artists can reach a wider audience. Umar acknowledges the lack of platforms for budding artists in Kashmir but asserts that they are building their own doors and institutions to support and promote local talent.
