06 students of GDC Bandipora selected for “College on Wheels Programme”

Bandipora, October 05: Allowing students to explore, engage, and thrive beyond traditional classroom boundaries, six students from HKM Govt Degree College (GDC) Bandipora were Thursday selected for the participation in the ‘College on Wheels program’ organised by the Department of Higher Education in collaboration with University of Jammu.

This program aims to provide sponsored educational journeys to various cities of the country to the selected female students of the degree colleges of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pricipal GDC Bandipora, Dr Masood Malik informed that the selection process for the program was highly rigorous and competitive as the seats were limited where all the female students of the colleges of the UT J&K competed. He said that the students were selected on the basis of project proposals to be submitted by them on the themes set by the organizers.

The Principal informed that 06 students from the college applied for the event and fortunately their hardwork paid and all the 06 were selected.

Dr Masood said that the achievement not only brings honor to our institution but It also underscores the commitment of our institution to the promotion of education and empowerment of women.
