Lucknow: A groom’s girlfriend gatecrashed a wedding just before he said yes to his bride. The incident shocked the guests and relatives of the bride and the groom. Soon, the incident escalated and the groom arrived at the police station.
Dilbahar, the groom from Sherpur village in Biharigarh arrived in Gagalhadi with his wedding procession. Soon, the wedding events began and guests were served food. Subsequently, the Qazi started with the Nikaah rituals and the bride was just about to agree to the relationship. It was then that the unexpected event took place. A woman from Kerala arrived at the venue and halted the ceremony. She then told everyone about her relationship with the groom. The woman claimed that she had been with Dilbahar for about seven years. Further, she divulged that Dilbahar had forced her to get an abortion done.

The woman said that she had filed a case against Dilbahar in Kerala on November 30. To prove her side of the story, the woman brought along with her a picture of her and Dilbahar. The evidence left the bride and her family in shock. The girlfriend said she decided to come in person after hearing about his wedding. The bride’s family was furious and held the father and the groom hostage. It also led to a discussion about compensation for the bride’s family. The bride’s family eventually took the groom to the police station.
Though Dilbahar initially denied being in a relationship with the Malayalee girl, he later complied and revealed she was telling the truth. The cops stated that action would be taken against Dilbahar after receiving a formal complaint. (Agencies )
