Srinagar, May 24: In a vibrant display of patriotism, discipline and national integration, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) will organise a grand 5-KM NCC Unity Run in Srinagar on Saturday under the theme “Run With Pride – Run for India.”

The event is being held as part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp in Srinagar and is scheduled to commence at 0600 hours. Around 500 NCC cadets representing different states and Union Territories from across the country will participate in the run, showcasing the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” and youth solidarity.

The Unity Run will begin from the picturesque Nishat Garden and culminate at the iconic Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre, covering a scenic 5-kilometre stretch along the world-famous Dal Lake.

The event will be jointly flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Youth Services and Sports Satish Sharma and Director General NCC Virendra Vats.
Officials said the Unity Run aims to promote fitness, camaraderie, discipline and national pride among the youth while strengthening emotional and cultural bonds among participants from diverse backgrounds.
The event is expected to witness enthusiastic public participation and serve as a powerful symbol of national harmony, reflecting the commitment of India’s youth towards nation-building through the platform of the National Cadet Corps.
