Baramulla, May 9 : An awareness programme under the themes “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” and “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” was successfully organized at Higher Secondary School Fatehgarh by Rise Up Youth Foundation in collaboration with Global Youth Foundation.
The event was part of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor’s 100 Days Awareness Campaign, aimed at educating youth and society about the dangers of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free lifestyle. A significant number of students and local residents actively participated in the programme.
The programme was graced by Chairman of Global Youth Foundation, Touseef Mehraj Raina; Chairman of Rise Up Youth Foundation, Anush Shahnaz Khan; Vice Chairman Danish Shafi; PSI Police Station Vishal; Major Dheeraj Sihag of 46 RR Baramulla; and the Principal of Higher Secondary School Fatehgarh.
During the session, speakers highlighted the serious risks associated with drug abuse and stressed the need for collective efforts to combat this growing menace. They urged students to focus on education, adopt healthy lifestyles, and contribute positively to society. The speakers emphasized that drug addiction remains one of the most pressing challenges facing the younger generation today.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, where organizers expressed their gratitude to the guests, faculty members, students, and participants for their cooperation and support. They also reaffirmed their commitment to continue organizing such awareness initiatives in the future for the betterment of youth and society.
