Bandipora, Feb 01: The District Administration Bandipora has awarded Principal Shabnum Kousar of Goodwill Army School (AGS) Bandipora for her outstanding contributions to sports development in the district. She was honored with the prestigious Appreciation Award by the District Sports Advisory Board during the District Annual Sports Award Ceremony.

The event, organized in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora, recognized individuals who have played a pivotal role in advancing sports at the grassroots level. Principal Kousar’s efforts in fostering young sporting talent and promoting a culture of physical activity stood out among the honorees.

As the head of AGS Bandipora, Principal Kousar has been instrumental in integrating sports into the school curriculum and encouraging students to actively participate in various athletic disciplines. Under her leadership, the school has seen remarkable improvements in student engagement in sports, with several students excelling in district and state-level competitions.

Officials from the District Administration lauded her dedication, emphasizing that her initiatives have not only benefited her school but have also contributed significantly to the overall sports culture in Bandipora. “Her commitment to nurturing young athletes and providing them with the necessary infrastructure and support has had a lasting impact on the district’s sports development,” said a senior official at the event.

Beyond school sports, Principal Kousar has worked closely with local sports bodies to organize inter-school tournaments, training camps, and mentorship programs for aspiring athletes. Her initiatives have played a crucial role in inspiring young talent and encouraging more students to take up sports as a serious pursuit.
