Baramulla: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpure -IPS said on Tuesday that “drug-free Baramulla” is the main objective of the police in the district.

Amod recently joined Baramulla as SSP.

In an exclusive interview with The WebStory, the top cop said that his priority would be eradicating the menace of drugs from the district.

He said the topmost priority of the Baramulla police is to further strengthen the fight against drugs to make the district drug-free.

The top police officer said that drugs are a big enemy, and police are on it to eradicate it from the district.

He said in Baramulla district, police are working from both sides, with one side running a drug de-addiction centre and the other side being very strict to deal with this big enemy.

The top cop has exhorted civil society to wake up to the monstrous reality consuming precious young lives and socially boycott drug peddlers.
