Muneer Ahmad Dar Promotes ‘Kashmiri Culture’

Sheeran Naman

Budgam, Dec 26: Muneer Ahmad Dar, a resident of the Khag area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, has initiated a movement to revive and preserve the cultural heritage of the valley through his content in the Kashmiri language. Muneer has gained widespread popularity as a social media educator rather than a mere sensation.

In his videos, Muneer explores the ancient interiors of far-flung areas and regions of the valley, collecting valuable and rare information to share with his viewers. His YouTube channel, ‘Muneer Speaks,’ is a treasure trove of knowledge about the age-old Kashmiri culture and lifestyle from bygone days.

Speaking to The Web Story, Muneer said that “our society has been overshadowed by external influences and cultures. I want to present our culture in an interesting way through social media, engaging the youth and reconnecting them with our  roots.

“I am delighted to serve as an ambassador of Kashmiri culture. It brings me great satisfaction when people appreciate my hard work. I feel I have dedicated something meaningful to my beloved Kashmir,” added Muneer.

He said, “I have always been inspired by Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam RA and used to translate his “Kalam,” which means poetry in Kashmiri.”

Muneer Speaks is making waves in the social media world, attracting viewers from all age groups. While it is mostly viewed by senior citizens, Muneer’s content has succeeded in bringing different generations together. His most popular video to date is the discovery of an age-old “Tilvaein Waan,” which deeply resonated with his audience.

Muneer Speaks continues to promote well-researched and factual information to educate and entertain his viewers, fostering a deeper connection with Kashmiri culture for all.
