GANDERBAL, Nov 23 : The Indian Army organized a free medical camp on Sunday at the Islamic Education Institute in Gasoo, providing essential healthcare services to the local community.

The initiative offered medical consultations, routine health check-ups, and free medication to residents. A team of medical personnel, led by an Army doctor, also conducted awareness sessions on hygiene, sanitation, and preventive healthcare, addressing common ailments and advising on healthy lifestyle practices.

The event was met with widespread appreciation from local residents, who also provided administrative support to prepare the school premises for the camp. This collaborative effort underscored the community’s active participation in the initiative.

By addressing immediate healthcare needs, the camp fostered stronger civil-military relations and contributed to long-term stability through compassionate engagement. The initiative was widely seen as reinforcing the Indian Army’s role as a people-friendly force, successfully building goodwill and trust within the local population.
