Move aimed at balancing regional representation across North, South and Central Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 26 : Four new ministers — Ali Mohammad Sagar, Altaf Ahmad Kaloo, Shameema Firdous and Mir Saifullah— are likely to be inducted into the Jammu and Kashmir Council of Ministers during a swearing-in ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, sources told The Web Story/The Varmul Post.
Minister Satish Sharma is likely to be dropped as part of the anticipated reshuffle in the Omar Abdullah-led government, they said.
The proposed expansion is seen as an attempt by the National Conference-led government to strike a balance in regional representation, with North, South and Central Kashmir expected to find a place in the reconstituted Council of Ministers.
The swearing-in, if confirmed, would mark a significant reshuffle in the government as it seeks to accommodate regional and political considerations in its ministerial lineup.
This is a developing story. More details are awaited.
