Urges Public to Report Threats, Vows to Eradicate Terrorism
Bhaderwah, April 18 ; Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha accused Pakistan of persistently attempting to destabilize peace and normalcy in the Union Territory by infiltrating terrorists across the border.
Speaking at a public event in Bhaderwah, Sinha emphasized that Pakistan’s inability to accept the region’s improving stability has driven its continued cross-border terrorism. “Pakistan is uneasy with Jammu and Kashmir’s transformative progress. Their desperation to send terrorists reflects their refusal to acknowledge this new era of peace,” he stated, as per Kashmir Despatch.
Despite grappling with severe internal crises, Sinha asserted that Pakistan remains fixated on undermining J&K’s security. However, he reassured citizens that Indian security forces, police, and the administration are resolutely countering these threats. “Our forces are determined to eliminate terrorism permanently. Until this goal is achieved, they will not relent,” he declared.
The Lieutenant Governor urged communities to collaborate with authorities by reporting individuals who endanger peace. “Development thrives only in a peaceful environment. It is every citizen’s duty to alert the police about those sheltering terrorists or supporting anti-national activities,” he said, warning of strict legal action against perpetrators.
Acknowledging isolated instances of locals aiding terrorists, Sinha affirmed, “Some misguided elements are being misused, but our forces are proactively dismantling these networks.” He reiterated the administration’s zero-tolerance stance: “Our mantra must be clear—do not harm the innocent, but show no mercy to the guilty. Justice will prevail for all who disrupt J&K’s harmony.”
