Kishtwar, Nov 11: The Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Chowdhury, stated that the security grid must contemplate and change its policy, taking strong action as required.

During his visit to Kishtwar district, the Deputy Chief Minister as per The Web Story/The Varmul Post reacted to the killing of two Village Defence Guards (VDGs) by expressing his sorrow emphasized, however, that the government will never tolerate such incidents, asserting that they desire peace in Jammu and Kashmir and hope these deaths will be the last.

The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that the National Conference has always made sacrifices for a peaceful Kashmir, thousands of leaders and workers from the party have been killed in the struggle.

He stated that the National Conference aims to strengthen the country, as well as Jammu and Kashmir and the Constitution of India.

Last week, the Deputy Chief Minister claimed that the National Conference is the only party capable of uplifting the people of Kashmir from the turmoil created by the BJP. He stressed that the government will fulfill all promises made.

“We want to strengthen Indian democracy, and we echo the same demand: Restore our rights that have been taken away and protect the jobs of our children,” he added.

He further assured that they would not permit any outsiders to encroach on the land of Jammu and Kashmir, nor would they allow employment opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir to be seized by outsiders. He emphasized that the resolution passed in the Assembly reflects the promises made to the people during the elections and in their manifesto, a sentiment shared by the people of both Jammu and Kashmir.
