A 24-year-old, Amir Hassan from Tarzoo village, has been selected to represent India in the Physical Disabled Cricket Champions Trophy 2025, which will be hosted by Sri Lanka.
The Champions Trophy will commence on January 10, 2025, in Sri Lanka.
Participating teams in the Champions Trophy include India, Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.
Aamir Hasan Rather, the 24-year-old resident of Tarzoo Sopore, is a leading fast bowler who previously represented Team India during the Physical Disabled World Cricket Series tournament in England in 2019.
Local reports told The Varmul Post The Web Story that Amir suffered a severe burn to his right hand when he was just six months old, which resulted in amputation due to infection.
Despite these physical challenges, Aamir is an exceptional fast bowler, capable of bowling at speeds of up to 130 km/h.
He has also represented Jammu and Kashmir in the Under-19 School Nationals.
