Taranum: It is indeed challenging to differentiate between real and reel in the age of social media. However, learning and continuously growing professionally can help to maintain our confidence and credibility. Social media influencers may have their own set of rules, but as professionals, we must strive to meet journalistic standards while leveraging the platform to our advantage.
WS/VP : Some female journalists have raised concerns about not being paid or being exploited. What is your reaction to this?
Taranum: I strongly believe that our skills, talent, and hard work should be the determining factors of our success and livelihood. Good journalism will always be recognized, and we can carve out a decent and professional life based on our abilities.

Taranum: I don’t believe that the rise of social media influencers is the sole reason for some female journalists struggling. While influencers may create some challenges, professionals with a strong foundation and experience can always find their place and achieve great heights. It may be difficult, but it’s not impossible to overcome these obstacles in pursuit of a successful career in journalism.
