TRAL-PULWAMA, Dec 5: Women Development Cell in collaboration with NSS units of the college  organised an awareness rally on 5th of December 2022 to eliminate violence against women and girls under the banner of my college my pride.

The rally was organised as part of the 16 day  campaign by UN starting on 25th of  November 2022 upto 10th of December 2022 with the theme: ‘UNITE ! Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls ‘ for the year 2022.

Principal Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Lone while addressing the students impressed upon the dire need to spread public awareness about the issues surrounding gender-based violence to eliminate violence against women and girls.

According to the Kashmir Despatch correspondent, the Rally was flagged off by the worthy principal of the college Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Lone in presence of  several faculty members and Conveners of different committees.

Students from various semesters took part in the Rally and raised slogans to eliminate violence against women and girls. They also displayed various placards highlighting to stop violence against women and girls.

Thanking everybody, Convenor Women Development Cell, Prof. Syeda Laila Khalid urged upon the students to continue  to vociferate their voices to stop and eliminate  violence against them and not to be silent .
