Pattan, Feb 10 : Just days after the northern region of Kashmir was shocked by the news of an elder brother killing his younger brother over a family issue in Wadoora area of Sopore, another similar incident has been reported in Pattan.

In this latest incident, an argument between two brothers in the Hanjivera area of Pattan has left one brother critically injured.

According to reports received by The Web Stor/The Varmul Post, the injured brother, Muzaffar Hussain Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar (30), was immediately taken to Pattan Hospital and later referred to Srinagar Medical Institution for advanced treatment.

Reports, however, have indicated that the accused has absconded from the area following the incident.

A police officer, speaking to The Web Story/The Varmul Post over the phone, stated that a case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated into the incident. He said, efforts are underway to apprehend the accused who is currently on the run.

Earlier this week, in an unfortunate incident, the police in Sopore town arrested a man accused of killing his brother.

These two incidents in northern Kashmir have left the entire region in a state of disbelief and concern.

The shocking nature of these incidents has sent shockwaves throughout Kashmir, leaving the community disturbed and searching for answers.

The residents of Kashmir, who were already struggling with the challenges brought on by the financial crisis, now find themselves further burdened by a concerning increase in criminal activities.

The internet community in Kashmir has been quick to express their shock and sorrow, referring to these incidents as a reflection of the increasingly difficult times the region is facing.

While incidents of violence and crime are unfortunately not uncommon in any part of the world, the consecutive occurrence of such shocking and unfortunate incidents in a relatively short span of time has highlighted the urgent need for effective measures to curb criminal activities in Kashmir.
