Kashmir is known for its spectacular beauty. This beauty is heightened during the winter months when the terrain is blanketed in immaculate white snow, transforming the area into a winter wonderland.

Recognizing the attractiveness of this snowy paradise, Indian Railways has posted a video on X that allows viewers to watch the breathtaking vistas of a train journey through the snow-covered valleys of Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian railways shared a mesmerizing video of snowclad trains in J&K

The video, which soon became a visual treat for netizens, depicts a train at a station covered in a heavy covering of snow, suggestive of a fairytale picture.

As the train begins its journey, the film catches the breathtaking scenery, with railway tracks cutting into the heart of the snow-covered terrain. The footage captures the tranquil grandeur of the Kashmir Valley in its winter clothing.

Recently, it snowed in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir, including its summer capital, Srinagar, are currently experiencing sub-zero temperatures and heavy snowfall, which has come as a comfort to both inhabitants and tourists.

Just a few weeks ago, there was little to no snowfall in Kashmir, threatening to disrupt daily life and the valley’s tourism economy.

How did people on the internet react to the breathtaking video?

The video has received tremendous attention, with over 77k views and nearly 2k likes. The Indian Railways post asks visitors to “Experience the stunning view of a snow-clad Jammu and Kashmir,” and the video certainly does not disappoint.

One user posted “This is great” in response to the video, while another added, “Next year’s trip confirmed.” A third person expressed their reaction with a thumbs up emoticon.
