The 53 Road Construction Company (RCC) Beacon initiated pothole repair work on the Narbal to Baramulla stretch of the highway on Saturday. The road, which was damaged during the winter months due to heavy snow and rain, had been causing inconvenience to the local population.
An official said that the repair work is aimed at ensuring a smooth journey for both civil and military vehicles.
It is worth noting that the Narbal to Baramulla stretch is currently undergoing a 4-laning project, which is set to begin soon. In the meantime, the RCC Beacon’s repair work will serve as a temporary solution to the road’s condition.
