Baramulla, Feb 25: Aarifeen School of Excellence, Baramulla, organized a comprehensive one-day parent orientation program on Sunday in collaboration with its curriculum partner, Stanford Seed endeavor NatureNurture.

The event aimed to introduce parents to new pedagogical practices, STREAM curriculum, and futuristic approaches designed to prepare learners for the challenges of the 21st century.

Keynote speakers at the event included Ms. Geeta Mehrotra, a CBSE and NCERT Senior Resource Person and Parenting Expert at NatureNurture, and Ms. Shreya Singh, Manager – Learning and Development at NatureNurture.

During her speech, Ms. Mehrotra highlighted insights gained during the pandemic and stressed the importance of preparing learners for an uncertain future.

She emphasized responsible parenting, along with the use of a transdisciplinary approach to education.

Ms. Mehrotra also introduced parents to futuristic domains added to the NatureNurture curriculum, including financial literacy, digital citizenship, global dimensions, gender equality, character building, and design and technology.

Parents received hands-on training on teaching methodologies applied in classrooms, engaging in various teaching-learning processes and activities throughout the session.

Ms. Shreya Singh and Ms. Baiza Shabir, Manager-Interventions at NatureNurture, conducted thoughtful sessions and engaged parents in interactive activities.

At the conclusion of the program, the Secretary of ASE Management expressed gratitude to parents for their participation and assured them of ASE’s commitment to creating a conducive learning environment.

He reiterated ASE’s vision to produce individuals capable of positively impacting the world.

Parents lauded the school management, staff, and NatureNurture team for organizing an informative and engaging program.

Dr. Tariq, a parent commended the session, advocating for regular events to bridge communication gaps between the school, parents, and teachers for the betterment of the children.

He said that such orientation programs underscore ASE’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals poised to become change-makers in society.
