‘Bandpur’ Students Set to Represent ‘Kasheer’ in National Pencak Silat Championship

Bandipora, Jan 12 : Two students from north Kashmir’s Bandipora district will be representing Kashmir in the upcoming All India Inter-University Pencak Silat Championship for Women at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

Sabahat Afreen and Tabinda Majeed, students of Bandipora College, have been selected to represent the University of Kashmir in the championship.

The event is scheduled to take place from January 24th to 26th this year.

The journey to this prestigious competition started with the Pencak Silat inter-university trials held at the University of Kashmir. Sabahat Afreen’s exceptional performance and unwavering dedication earned her a spot in the national championship. Tabinda Majeed also showcased commendable skills, securing herself a well-deserved place in the competition.
