Srinagar, May 25: Netherlands Ambassador Joyce lauded the enchanting landscapes of Kashmir on Wednesday, expressing confidence in their potential to bolster film tourism.
During a visit to the newly revitalized Polo View market in Srinagar’s residency road vicinity, Joyce spoke to the media, highlighting the region’s natural allure.
“Noting that numerous movies have already been filmed in the area, the envoy emphasized the picturesque qualities of Kashmir as a truly captivating destination,” Joyce told The Web Story.
Joyce expressed optimism regarding the potential of green tourism in Kashmir and commended India’s efforts in this regard.
The envoy’s remarks came after the successful G20 Summit in Srinagar, where he anticipated positive outcomes to further support these initiatives.
The Netherlands envoy Joyce also praised the authorities for making the best arrangements for them during their 3-day stay in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Christina Chan, a G-20 delegate from Singapore, said that Kashmir is a beautiful destination.
In a conversation with The Web Story, she expressed admiration for the exquisite beauty of the region as a prospective destination, with a particular emphasis on the breathtaking mountains found in the Union Territory.
Furthermore, she commended the G-20 Summit as a splendid opportunity to present the nation to a global audience and effectively showcase its remarkable attributes.
Simon Wong, High Commissioner of Singapore to India, urged tourists from around the world to visit the picturesque region of Kashmir.
Speaking at the G20 meeting held in Srinagar, Wong highlighted the allure of Kashmir’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
The G20 meeting, which commenced on Monday morning, welcomed 53 delegates from various countries. Notably absent were representatives from China, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
However, officials from the G20 member nations, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union, actively participated in the three-day summit.
