Bandipora: Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, on Tuesday said that the Rahul Gandhi Bharat Jodo Yatra wouldn’t have been possible in Kashmir if Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not restored peace in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

These are the efforts of PM Modi visible in Kashmir that Rahul Gandhi led yatra here.

Dr Darakhshan Andrabi was speaking to the media on the sidelines of a function in north Kashmir’s Bandipora.

She said as per The Web Story that her party, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had made things better in this state, and the result is visible to all, and such Yatras were held after 30 years.

She said Rahul Gandhi should be grateful to the prime minister for his efforts in making Jammu and Kashmir a peaceful state.

Andrabi stated that this is the first time in Jammu and Kashmir’s history that we are waking up without knowing whether there is a hartal, stone pelting, or whether we will go outside our homes because her party had created a peaceful environment.

She stated that the most significant achievement for the people of Jammu and Kashmir is that they are walking on the streets without fear.

“People leave their homes happily early in the morning because Modiji and his government restored peace in Kashmir,” she added.

Pertinent to mention here that the five-month-long Bharat Yodo Yatra (BJY) march of Rahul Gandhi ended on Monday in the union teritorry of Jammu and Kashmir.

In five months, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra covered 12 states and two Union Territories and covered distance of over 4,000 km.

The journey began in Kanyakumari in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, and finished in Srinagar.
