Srinagar, May 26: In a resounding tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir, Coke Studio Bharat has unveiled its latest song, “Kya Karie Korimol,” which has captured the hearts of people across the Kashmir valley. This melodious creation has quickly become a sensation, reverberating in every nook and corner, and spreading like wildfire across various social media platforms.

Its unprecedented praise marks a significant milestone in the realm of music, as no other song has received such overwhelming acclaim before.

As per The Web Story Coke Studio Bharat, known for its phenomenal success as a diverse music platform, celebrates emerging artists from different regions and languages.

This year, they launched Coke Studio Bharat and Coke Studio Tamil in India, which have garnered an astounding response. With over 50 artists from across the country joining forces, the creative season has produced more than 10 memorable tracks that celebrate the roots of Bharat.

Among these captivating compositions, “Kya Karie Korimol” stands out as a mesmerizing Kashmiri song that not only narrates the story of a bride and her father preparing for her wedding feast but also highlights the cultural heritage of Kashmir.

Woven into its lyrics is a message of love and care, encapsulating the emotions of a new bride amidst the festivities of a traditional Kashmiri wedding.

The song is a beautiful collaboration between Mohammad Muneem, known by his stage name Alif, along with discovery artists Noor Mohammad and Aashima Mahajan.

Delving into the rich traditions of Kashmiri weddings, “Kya Karie Korimol ” prominently features the Wazwaan, a culinary heritage associated with royal wedding feasts.

The song beautifully captures the essence of celebration and takes listeners on an emotional journey through the eyes of the bride as she experiences the wedding meal with her loved ones.

Additionally, the song includes the poignant Wanvun stories, traditionally sung in chorus to bless the bride and urge her spouse’s family to love and care for her. “Kya Karie Korimol” serves as a touching reminder of the significance of love and respect in any relationship, paying tribute to the customs and traditions of Kashmiri weddings while exploring the emotional bond between a father and his daughter.

Mohammad Muneem, the Kashmiri singer-songwriter and composer known as Alif, expressed his sentiments about “Kya Karie Korimol,” stating, “It is not just a song; it is a journey through the emotions of a bride on her wedding day. We aimed to capture the essence of Kashmiri weddings and the role that Wazwan plays in bringing people together. We hope that this song touches the hearts of our listeners and reminds them of the power of love and care.”

Noor Mohammad and Aashima Mahajan, the talented duo featured in the song, have added their unique styles and voices, enriching the overall sound of “Kya Karie Korimol.” Their contribution showcases the immense talent and potential of the next generation of musicians in India. Both artists expressed their honor.

In a single day, the Kashmiri song received 573k views, 11k likes and 1.7k comments over YouTube.

Famous filmmaker @iamonir took to microblogging site Twitter and said, “loving this Kashmiri song in @cokestudioind … of course the reference to Gostaba/ kababa and Trami is making me hungry.”

Another Twitterati Rehyana said, “Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing world of #Gyawun, where timeless melodies and captivating rhythms reign supreme! Just witnessed an extraordinary #Kashmiri folk song unfold on
@CokeStudioIndia.”

Top cop Imtiyaz Hussain wrote on his twitter handle, “Kashur wanvun. Absolutely incredible, thanks to @cokestudioindia.”
