Says Together We Can Overcome Challenges and Achieve Peace

Srinagar, Oct 17 : National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has expressed optimism regarding the newly formed government in Jammu and Kashmir.

During his visit to Lal Chowk as per The Web Story/The Varmul Post he emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges faced by the local population, highlighting a shared commitment to fostering progress and peace in the region.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah called for collective efforts among all stakeholders to improve the situation, emphasizing that unity and collaboration are essential for building a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.

The NC President also met local shopkeepers in Srinagar’s busiest market, Lal Chowk, where he reiterated that the National Conference will work towards the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pertinently, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday marked the formation of its first government since the abrogation of Article 370, with Omar Abdullah taking the oath of office as Chief Minister. Party MLA Surinder Singh Choudhary was appointed Deputy Chief Minister.

Five MLAs also took their oaths : Satish Sharma (Independent), Sakina Itoo, Javid Dar, Surinder Singh Choudhary, and Javid Rana (all from the National Conference).
