Dismisses Ghar Wapsi Speculations
Srinagar, Nov 08 – In response to recent rumors surrounding the alleged Ghar Wapsi, Iltija Mufti, Media Advisor of PDP President and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, clarified that the visit of former Deputy CM Muzaffar Hussain Baig to Mehbooba’s Nowgam residence was solely intended to inquire about the health condition of their grandmother. She had been suffering from an ankle disorder for some time.
Iltija confirmed to news agency Kashmir News Service that Muzaffar Hussain Baig, accompanied by his wife and DDC Chairperson Baramulla Safina Baig, had indeed visited their Nowgam residence. However, the purpose of the visit was purely apolitical, with no discussions regarding Ghar Wapsi taking place, Iltija added.
Earlier, speculations had been circulating suggesting that Muzaffar Hussain Baig, who had distanced himself from PDP for an extended period, was considering opting for Ghar Wapsi. However, the sources within PDP promptly refuted these claims, putting an end to the conjectures.
