Says teachers are backbone of education system

Srinagar, Oct 06: Jammu and Kashmir Health and Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Tuesday asserted that teachers are the backbone of the education system, and her government will continue working together for their welfare and for strengthening education in the Union Territory.

The Minister as per The Web Story/The Varmul Post said this after meeting a joint delegation of the J&K Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Association, J&K Teachers Joint Action Committee and Private School Association here.

According to officials, the delegation, led by Sufi Qadri, District President South Kashmir, shared issues related to teachers’ welfare, service matters and professional concerns, including the TET resolution.

In a post on social media after the meeting, minsiter Itoo said, “Heard their concerns patiently. Teachers are the backbone of our education system, and we will continue working together for their welfare and for strengthening education in Jammu and Kashmir.”
