Bandipora Apr 24:- An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces at a forested area in Renji forests of North Kashmir ‘s Bandipora district on Wednesday, police said .
“A contact was established between #terrorists and security forces in the early morning in Renji forest area of Aragam, #Bandipora. Search operation is going on.
@JmuKmrPolice,” Jammu Kashmir police zone in a tweet.
The encounter began after a joint team of security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about the presence of terrorists.
As the security forces moved towards the spot where terrorists were hiding, they came under the heavy volume of fire triggered the encounter.
