Police Arrest Three Drug Peddlers in Awantipora

Awantipora, Dec 06 : Police in South Kashmir’s Awantipora arrested three drug peddlers and recovered charas like substance from their possession.

Police in a statement said, During naka checking at Hatiwara Awantipora, police party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO PS Awantipora Insp. khalid Fayaz intercepted 03 persons in suspicious condition,when police party signalled them to stop they tried to flee from the spot but police party apprehended them tactfully.

During search, 65 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from their possession.

The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as:-
1) Danish Rasheed Bhat S/O Ab Rasheed Bhat R/o Lethpora
2) Danish Ashraf Dar S/o Mohd Ashraf R/o Lethpora
3) Umer Rasool Dar s/o Gh. Rasool Dar R/o Lethpora.

Case FIR number 168/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Awantipora and investigation taken up the police statement further reads.
