Sopore, Oct 19 : The vibrant halls of SRM Welkin School came alive as it hosted the first day of the Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) conference.
As per The Web Story/The Varmul Post Correspondent the event united students from various schools across Kashmir where they showcased the spirit of collaboration and learning.
Saika a student from Kupwara school told The Web Story/The Varmul Post that this conference really provided a unique platform for young minds where we voice our opinions on pressing global issues ranging from sports to politics.

She said students during the day one we engaged in dynamic discussions and debates, enabling ourselves to refine our diplomacy, critical thinking, and public speaking skills.
Seerat a student from SRM Welkin Sopore told The Web Story/The Varmul Post that this initiative not only cultivates global citizenship but also enhances civic awareness among all the participants.

She said during the day first it was really a treat to be part of the conference where we engaged ourselves in healthy discussions which really helps us and showed us the part to achive heights in our future lives.
She also said that it’s beauty of SRM Welkin, where students are getting opportunities to engage in such programs mental developmental programs which will help us in choosing a bright and successful career.
Tamana, another student from Srinagar School, expressed her thoughts in a conversation with The Web Story/The Varmul Post. She said, “I am really feeling great to be part of this lovely conference, where we discuss, debate, and give speeches. It was truly an exposure moment filled with learning, gaining information, and receiving fresh tips that contribute to a broader vision and perspective on life.”
She added that, besides debates and speeches, the students had the opportunity to socialize with SRM Welkin students, which made it even more enjoyable to be part of the IIMUN conference.

Tabish, a student from Baramulla School, remarked, “IIMUN is truly a great platform where every student should participate. Here, we receive immense encouragement to engage in speeches and debates, and we get the chance to socialize with each other. This platform really unites our ideas, thoughts, and opinions. Moreover, through IIMUN, we gain a wealth of information that will benefit us in our future endeavors.”
Pertinently, SRM Welkin School has consistently demonstrated its commitment to personality development and confidence building, nurturing the next generation of leaders.
In the past years the institution has achieved a culmination level in not only boasting their students in a local level events, seminars, personal developmental programs but in life goals programs as well.
