Sopore, June 2 : Sanctorum Public School on Tuesday welcomed back its distinguished alumni and international footballers Tajamul Islam and Moosa Ashiq Sofi as Special Guests in a bid to inspire young sportspersons.

Tajamul, who represented India U-17 in the SAFF Championship 2022 and later earned selection for the Indian U-20 National Team, is currently playing for Sporting Club Delhi. He has recently received a call-up for the India National Team camp.

Moosa, another proud product of the institution, recently represented the country in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.

During their visit, both players interacted with students and budding footballers, emphasising dedication, discipline, perseverance, and the need to balance academics with sports.

“Success comes from giving equal respect to studies and passion,” they told the gathering.

The event was followed by a grassroots football match, which the two players watched closely. They appreciated the talent on display and encouraged the young participants to pursue their dreams with confidence.

The school administration took pride in the achievements of the two footballers and wished them success in their future endeavours.
