Keran, Nov 07: Security forces claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara district’s Keran sector, gunning down two terrorists.
Official sources informed The Web Story/The Varmul Post that on November 7, a joint operation was launched in the Keran sector of Kupwara based on specific intelligence input from agencies regarding an infiltration attempt. Alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged the individuals, which resulted in the terrorists opening indiscriminate fire. Contact was established, and the terrorists were trapped.
The security personnel responded with effective fire, neutralizing two terrorists.
Officials said efforts are ongoing to retrieve the bodies of the infiltrators, which have been spotted lying close to the LoC.
