Jammu, Feb 20 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, stated that Jammu and Kashmir used to be a victim of Family Raj Politics, where politicians only cared about their own benefits and never thought about the local people. He emphasized that the most affected group due to this type of politics was the youth and our daughters.
While addressing a massive rally in Jammu, PM Modi as pointed out that these politicians never thought about the future of the youth, but were solely focused on their own satisfaction and the well-being of their families.
“I am pleased to announce that people have now been freed from the clutches of family raj politics,” he said.
He said that the dreams of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which were pending for the past 70 years, would now be fulfilled in the near future.
Gone are the days when news about Jammu and Kashmir only consisted of bomb blasts, gunfire, and militant attacks. Under PM Modi’s leadership, everything has changed, he stated.
Now, the youth are no longer imprisoned and are moving towards building a new future. They have raised their voice against family raj politics and are creating their own success stories.
The once-distant dream of a vibrant and peaceful Kashmir has now become a reality. People are now moving towards a brighter and more peaceful future.
Previously, the youth had to leave Kashmir to pursue professional education. However, thanks to the policies of the Modi government, there will soon come a time when no individual will have to go outside the region for education.
PM Modi recalled his visit to the same location in 2013, where he made a commitment to fulfill the aspirations of the people. He proudly stated that this commitment has been fulfilled, with the establishment of prestigious institutions like IIT and IIM in the region.
Today, we are witnessing a new Kashmir, where peace, prosperity, and development are reaching new heights, he said.
Pertinently, Prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first Electric Train and the train service between Sangaldan station and Baramulla station.
In addition, he launched various development projects worth over 32,000 crore, including those in education, railway, aviation, and road sectors.
The Prime Minister also distributed appointment orders to around 1,500 new Jammu and Kashmir government recruits and laid the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Jammu Airport.
