Srinagar, June 20: The State Investigation Agency’s (SIA) raids continue in parts of Kashmir against the misuse of social media.
An official told The Web Story that SIA sleuths, accompanied by J&K Police and CRPF personnel, conducted raids at multiple locations in four districts of Srinagar, Pulwama, Ananthnag, and Kupwara against the miscreant elements who misused social media platforms for unlawful and secessionist activities in parts of Kashmir.
The officer said the searches were carried out in case FIR NO. 05/2023 of police station SIA/CIK regarding India-based social media entities collaborating with their foreign associates to spread hatred against India and promote terror activities.
The officer said that during the searches, substantial digital and physical evidence like mobile phones, SIM cards, etc. were seized.
He said the evidence will be meticulously analysed to build a strong case against the accused individuals and organisations, ensuring a comprehensive investigation and subsequent legal proceedings.
Pertinently, the SIA crackdown continues on the people who not only affected the peaceful environment in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir but also took action against militant followers.
SIA played an important role in keeping the momentum of peace in Kashmir through their efforts towards the enemies of the nation.
