Srinagar: Mumbai-based travel blogger Merlin Luicien Miranda has travelled the breathtaking terrain of 10 districts in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and her verdict is: Kashmir is truly a paradise on earth. With its unmatched beauty, this region of northern India stands out as a jewel among global destinations.

As a solo traveller, Miranda has experienced the wonder and awe-inspiring sights that Jammu and Kashmir has to offer, and she recommends it as a must-visit spot for any adventurer seeking to be immersed in natural splendor.
Talking exclusively with The Web Story Mumbai travel blogger, Merlin said that she is very excited to share her experience of solo trips to Kashmir.

“I choose solo trips to Kashmir because I always felt Kashmir was no less beautiful or interesting. I also wanted to explore and showcase how safe it was for a woman to go on a solo trip to Kashmir,” she said
“My experience was amazing with the people out there, and the place is truly heavenly!”
She said that she has been traveling since 2016 to Jammu and Kashmir and solo since April 2019 to Kashmir.
“The people of Kashmir were good everywhere, especially when it came to women—safety is in a place,” she said.

The Mumbai travel blogger, in a message to the travellers who are afraid to visit this place, said that once you visit Kashmir, the charming beauty of this place will be forever etched in your memory.
She also believes that Kashmir must be travelled, explored, and lived, but most importantly, it must be felt.
“I take an average of 6–12 trips a year, of which one trip I prefer Kashmir,” Merlin added.
Merlin Luicien Miranda further said that she loves to travel and experience the local food and culture of the places she visits, and there’s no better place than India for that.
“Every state is unique, and my dream is to cover every state in this beautiful country I call home (22 of the 36 are covered),” she said.

Pertinently, Dr. Sarmista Dhar, an Assam-based Bollywood actress who recently completed a solo trip to Kashmir, said, “I realized that Kashmir was way more beautiful than it looks in pictures or videos. I stayed with locals in a homestay and enjoyed every part of my trip.
“I traveled solo to many places, including the northeast, but didn’t enjoy it as much as I did in Kashmir,” she said.
