Sopore : The authorities at Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Sopore refuted the news of banning Pheran clad customers to its branches in north Kashmir’s Sopore.
Earlier in a viral social media post, it was said that in order to ward off the potential ‘ security breach’ Jammu and Kashmir bank Branch unit Achabal Sopore has prohibited entry of persons donning Pheran.
However, talking to Webstory, an official at Jammu and Kashmir Bank said that no such order has been issued by the bank.
“May be security guard have pasted a poster at the entrance there but there is no such official order from the bank,” he added.
Talking to Webstory, a police officer said that we are not aware of this post, however added that will look into it.
