Despite many odds and challenges, the 15 year old specially abled Amina Qayoom has won the gold medal in the rowing championship at the indoor stadium in Baramulla.

By bringing laurels to the local area, her school, her coach, and especially her parents, Amina is the youngest girl to win a gold at state level championship.

Being a specially abled girl supported by crutches while moving from one place to another, Amina Qayoom, from the Sopore area of Seloo, dreams big as she is the youngest girl to win gold at the state level rowing championship.

Her hopes are sky high as she swam against the tide, and her never-say-die attitude has lifted her confidence like nothing else.

“I want to be a martial art player and want to represent India one day. Playing for my country is my only dream,” Amina told Webstory.

With the full support of her family and coach, she is dreaming big as she looks to embark on her journey so that one day she can be a star.

A student of 7th standard at Rehmat Alam Education Trust in Sopore Seloo, Amina wants to become a doctor and serve her community besides fully getting involved in sports.
