Srinagar, Feb. 25: Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said the interests of common citizens will be protected in the implementation of property tax and that it shall be done in consultation with the public.
The Office of LG J&K on its official Twitter handle said property taxes in Jammu and Kashmir will be among the lowest in the country and will be used to improve public amenities.
LG Sinha also stated that the implementation of property taxes would be done in consultation with the general public.
“Our cities must witness rapid development and emerge as engines of growth.” Cities’ financial sustainability is required for this. Property tax in J&K will be one of the lowest in the country and will be used for improving public amenities in J&K. Implementation shall be done in consultation with the general public. “Common citizens’ interests will be protected,” the office of LG J&K tweeted.
