Baramulla, June 11: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday stated that despite an improvement in the security scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the presence of terrorists is still a concern.

Reacting to the Reasi attack, Dr. Farooq as per The Web Story/The Varmul Post said that it is truly unfortunate that innocent people who were coming to pray were targeted and killed. He acknowledged that the security scenario has improved, but the presence of terrorists cannot be completely controlled.

Farooq condemned this barbaric attack and urged everyone to pray to Almighty Allah that the movement of these terrorists in the peaceful valley be stopped, as they are adding to our sufferings.

Speaking about the Shri Amarnath Yatra, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that they welcome the pilgrimage every year and have always tried to ensure that the pilgrims can visit peacefully. He expressed hope that this year’s Yatra will also be conducted peacefully, God willing.
