Srinagar, Sep 12: The Sopore Working Journalists Association (SWJA) has constituted a body to represent and strengthen the voice of journalists working in the region.
As per the statement issued, Mehraj ud Din Lone (ANN) was unanimously elected President, while Aabid Nabi (Daily Excelsior) was chosen Vice President. Suhail Khan will serve as Secretary, Waris Fayaz (KNO) as Spokesperson, and Mohammed Ayoub as Treasurer.
The association reiterated its commitment to upholding free, fair and responsible journalism while working collectively for the welfare of its members.
The office bearers assured that they would address the issues faced by journalists in Sopore and strengthen the association to ensure their professional interests are effectively represented.
