Sopore, Mar 18 : In a stern directive, Sheikh Tariq, the In-charge Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Municipal Council (MC) and Tehsildar of Sopore, issued a clear warning to officials and employees against wasting time during public service hours, emphasizing that such negligence will not be tolerated.

Speaking Exclusively with The Web Story/The Varmul Post, Tariq, who holds additional charge of MC Sopore, stated, “Officials or employees found indulging in unnecessary activities during work hours will face strict disciplinary action. We are here to serve the public, and citizens should not suffer due to inefficiency.”

Highlighting the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan, Tariq stressed the need for heightened accountability. “This is a sacred time when people’s needs and grievances must be addressed promptly. Delays or indifference from officials are unacceptable,” he asserted.

The CEO/Tehsildar revealed that complaints had been received regarding some officials displaying non-serious attitudes, leading to public inconvenience. “Such behavior undermines our duty to provide relief and ease the suffering of citizens. It will no longer be tolerated,” he added.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment to public welfare, the officer further added, “Our primary responsibility is to ensure citizens receive timely assistance. Every effort must be made to resolve their issues swiftly and efficiently.”
