Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla Accused of Harbouring Attacker and Destroying Evidence in Red Fort Bombing Case

SRINAGAR, Dec 09 : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday stated it has arrested another key suspect in connection with last month’s Delhi bomb blast, identifying the individual as a doctor from Baramulla.

In a statement, the agency named the arrested individual as Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla from Baramulla, marking him as the eighth accused in the case registered as RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI. An NIA team apprehended him in Delhi.

The agency alleges that Dr. Malla was involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack in the Red Fort area, which killed 11 people and injured several others. According to the NIA’s investigation, he knowingly harboured the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi, by providing logistical support. Dr. Malla is also accused of destroying evidence related to the attack.

The NIA stated it is continuing its investigation into the conspiracy behind the deadly terror act. “The anti-terror agency is working closely with various central and state agencies to unravel all threads of the conspiracy,” the statement added.
