Sopore Academician, Female Cricket Star Among 25 Recognized
Srinagar, Oct 26 ; In an army-organized event in Srinagar, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha honored the Women Achievers of Kashmir, presenting certificates and medallions to the recipients.
The solemn ceremony took place at Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar, attended by distinguished military officials and civilian dignitaries.
The objective of the function, as stated by the army, was to recognize and appreciate the contributions of these women in the prosperity of Kashmir, while exemplifying the essence of ‘Nari Shakti’.
The event witnessed the presence of NCC Cadets, school children, and women from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing the significance of inspiring the younger generation.
In his address, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed gratitude to the Women Achievers for their positive impact on society. He emphasized the pivotal role of women in the overall nation-building efforts, emphasizing the importance of support and empowerment.

Among the 25 distinguished achievers honored were Baseema Aijaz, Chairperson of SRM Welkin, who has made significant contributions to academia in Sopore, and Snobar Samad, the first female cricketer from Sopore.
The event underscored the indomitable spirit and remarkable achievements of these women achievers, who have become exemplary role models for aspiring women across the region.
