Sopore, Sep 27: Three students from Government Degree College for Women Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have been appointed as NEP SAARTHI Ambassadors by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in New Delhi.
As per details available with The Web Story, the selected three students, Mehvish Fayaz Wani, Haya Azad, and Nuzhat Afrooz, are from the Academic Batch of 2022.
The NEP SAARTHI initiative, introduced by UGC, aims to engage students in reshaping higher education in India by implementing the transformative provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This visionary programme intends to bring about academic reforms and contribute to the successful implementation of NEP 2020.
Government Degree College for Women Sopore takes immense pride in the fact that out of 484 nominations received nationwide from universities, colleges, and institutions, three of their students have been chosen as NEP SAARTHI Ambassadors.
Meanwhile, Principal Prof. Bashir Ahmad Paray and Coordinator NEP Prof. Zubair Masoodi of the college, talking to The Web Story, expressed their joy and pride in the students’ achievements.
They commended their unwavering commitment to academic excellence and exceptional leadership qualities, which have earned them this prestigious recognition.
The college administration is confident that these ambassadors will play a crucial role in promoting academic reforms and contributing to the successful implementation of NEP 2020, they added.
