Srinagar, Feb 24: The All Jammu & Kashmir Patwar Association (AJKPA) on Tuesday expressed gratitude to the UT administration for approving the posting of newly promoted Girdawar Qanoongos (GQs) and transferring overstayed GQs across the Union Territory.
In a statement issued here to news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the Association said it had approached the Chief Secretary, Secretary Revenue, Financial Commissioner (Revenue) and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, seeking necessary intervention in the matter of postings and transfers within the cadre.
The Association stated that the authorities have positively considered their request and issued the required orders, terming the decision as a timely intervention that has provided much-needed relief to the cadre and reinforced confidence among revenue officials in the administrative system.
AJKPA extended its sincere gratitude to the Chief Secretary, Secretary Revenue, Financial Commissioner (Revenue) and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, for their pragmatic and responsive approach towards resolving the issue.
The Association further expressed hope that the long-pending Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for Look-after Naib Tehsildars would also be convened and finalized at the earliest in the interest of the fraternity.
Apex President GM Sofi, on behalf of the Association, reiterated appreciation to the authorities and expressed optimism for a progressive and secure future for members of the Patwar cadre. (KNC)
