Bandipora, July 01: An Army soldier committed suicide by using his service rifle in the forward area of Gurez sector in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
Official sources told The Web Story/The Varmul Post that the army soldier identified as Raju Karajagi, a resident of Bijapur, Karnataka committed suicide by shooting himself with his own service rifle inside the unit in Buruab area of Gurez sector.
The reason behind the soldier taking this extreme step was not immediately known, sources added.
Meanwhile, police took cognizance of this incident.
