Organises Free Medical Camp in Malpora, Baramulla
Baramulla, May 29 : In a heartwarming initiative, the CRPF 53 Battalion brought essential healthcare services to the doorsteps of residents in the remote village of Malpora, Baramulla, organizing a free medical camp that provided checkups, consultations, and medicines to hundreds in need.
The camp, held in collaboration with doctors from the Jammu and Kashmir Health Department as well as CRPF medical personnel, saw an overwhelming response from the local community. Elderly men and women, many of whom face difficulties accessing healthcare facilities, turned up in large numbers to avail free consultations and treatment.
Inaugurated by village elders and led by Commandant Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (53 Bn), along with Second-in-Command Prem Pratap Singh, Assistant Commandants R.K. Yadav & Kishan Yadav, and DySP Rupali Singh, the camp exemplified the CRPF’s commitment to community welfare beyond its security duties.
One grateful villager shared, “I had been unwell for days but couldn’t reach the hospital. When I heard about this camp, I came immediately and received free medicines. We are thankful to the CRPF for this support and hope more such camps are held.”
Commandant Sharma highlighted the camp’s success, stating, “The overwhelming response from locals shows how much such initiatives are needed. With their help, word spread quickly, and people from nearby villages also benefited. Our aim is to ensure no one is deprived of basic healthcare due to remoteness or hardship.”
This noble effort not only provided immediate medical relief but also strengthened the bond between security forces and civilians, proving once again that the CRPF stands with the people—not just in duty, but in care and compassion.
Looking Ahead: The 53 Bn has pledged to continue such initiatives, bringing hope and health to more underserved communities in the region.
