Urges PM Modi to Trust the People of Jammu and Kashmir and Restore Statehood

WS/VP Desk

Jammu, Mar 06: In a bold and heartfelt address, Javeed Hussain Beigh, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Baramulla Constituency, appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to place trust in the people of Jammu and Kashmir and take a decisive step towards healing by restoring statehood.

Beigh, in his powerful appeal, stated, “Don’t doubt us; trust us and respect us. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have never viewed this country through the lens of Hindus or Muslims. Instead, we have always seen this country with respect.”

Highlighting the sacrifices made by the people of the region, Beigh added, “Our relatives, our workers, and our soldiers, whether they are Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian, have made sacrifices to preserve the dignity of this country. So, do not doubt us; place your trust in us, and the first step will be to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s status.”

Beigh expressed hope that the restoration of statehood would mark the beginning of a new era of healing and development for the region. “I am hopeful that the first step towards healing will be when statehood is restored. That will be the real healing touch, and then the state will move towards development,” he said.
