Ganderbal Police have succeeded in recovering a significant amount of contraband substance in the jurisdiction of PS Gund. The operation was prompted by specific information received regarding the presence of illegal substances in the house of Gulab Ahmad Khari in Syed Basti Sarfraw.
Under the guidance of SSP Ganderbal Shri Sandeep Gupta -IPS, a search was conducted by a Police Party from PS Gund, led by SHO Gund Zaro Mudasir and supervised by SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS. However, upon the arrival of the police, the accused managed to escape from the scene.
Nevertheless, the authorities were able to recover two nylon bags filled with crushed cannabis-like substance, weighing over 14 kgs, from the cow shed belonging to the accused individual. The seizure of the contraband substance was conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate First Class from Gund.
In light of this development, a case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at PS Gund, with the FIR number 06/2024. The police have initiated further investigations into the matter.
