Shopian, October 10: Two militants, including the one who was behind the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma were killed by security forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The slain militants have been identified as Morifat Maqbool and Jazim Farooq, who was also known by the alias Abrar. The operation leading to their neutralization was a joint effort undertaken by the security forces, in close coordination with intelligence agencies.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir has confirmed that one of the militants, Abrar, was involved in the targeted killing of Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit who tragically lost his life at the hands of terrorists.
The militants were trapped during a midnight anti-militancy operation in Alshipora area of Shopian.
