Mild Temperatures Bring Relief to Kashmir Region Amidst Harsh Winter Chill

Srinagar, Dec 25 : Despite the cold weather, Kashmir region experienced relatively mild temperatures today. Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of -2.3°C, while other areas like Qazigund, Pahalgam, and Gulmarg also had temperatures above freezing, providing some relief from the extreme cold.

In the Jammu region, temperatures were even more comfortable, with Jammu itself reaching a minimum temperature of 7.3°C. Other areas like Katra and Kathua also enjoyed relatively warmer temperatures, with readings in the range of 7-8°C.

In Ladakh, temperatures remained sub-zero, as expected in this region, but they were not as extreme as usual. Leh recorded a minimum temperature of -6.8°C, while Kargil had a minimum of -7.3°C. These temperatures, although cold, are not unusual for these areas during winter.

Overall, today’s minimum temperatures in Kashmir, Jammu, and Ladakh regions were relatively mild, offering some respite from the harsh winter. (With inputs from Kashmir Weather )
